Don’t let the woman selling tickets talk you out of the tour like she tried to do us. Robin is a wonderful tour guide. Ike, LBJ, and Rayburn were all here together in 1946. Tours start on the hour.

Dwight David Eisenhower was the first U.S. president born in Texas, in this two-story home on October 14, 1890. He was a five-star general in the Army before serving as president from 1953 until 1961.

My husband is from Denison, Texas so (being small minded) I thought it would be cool to be mayor of a State Historic Site, Eisenhower's Birthplace it is!
