Byculla was one of the original stations when the Bombay-Thane railway was inaugurated in April 1853. It had been built as a wooden structure the year before, but took on its current form in 1857.

Bus for LBS college has restarted and road in nearby college vicinity is properly made yet the 2 lane truck parking narrows it down. Bus no. 168 for lbs college is back on its route

If you going towards KALYAN make sure you board the train before it halts on the station. Else it will be difficult to get in.

if we catch a fast train frm byculla there is no place to sit even in 1st class :(

Avoide taking Hans road which is in front of the station's gate (w). This road is like rectum of byculla.
