The wild rice burger in the Food Building still one of the best eats at the fair! They are also in the Blue Ribbon Bargain Book. #wildricespecialties #mnstatefair

Show up for breakfast, the most underrated and least crowded time at the fair

The fair is neat, but check out the fairgrounds throughout the year. Oktoberfest, comic conventions, roller derby with the North Star Roller Girls, and more fun events!

It's the great Minnesota get together! Everything is on a stick. Check out sweet Martha's cookies and the fried pickles and the waffle ice cream sandwich.

Park and Rides, don't try to drive here. Cheese Curds are a must. Also: pronto pups, nitro ice cream, deep fried candy bars, and cider freezes

Cheese curds from the food building and pronto dogs (corn dogs) are the best of the classics! And you can't beat a cold glass of 1919 root beer.

The best event ever! Try a Pronto Pup, cheese curds from the Mouth Trap and Luigi Fries. Head to the International Bazaar for some awesome food and shopping.

Holy Land deli has a great Mediterranean lemonade. Minty, slushy and sweet-tart. So good on hot hot days. Well worth the price.

Voted Best Tourist Attraction by City Pages in 2012! Often maligned by folks from town, and especially those not from the state- The fair is always quite a sight.
