Mick was our guide under ground it was a really interesting 1hour 20mins for only £5 . Lost more to explore. Good day was had even with a bit of rain . You can also visit the pit ponies.

The pit tour is well worth going on. Good exhibitions and activities for children. Nice cafe with decent food.

This place makes me proud to live in Wakefield. Lovely grounds and extremely informative throughout the whole tour. Staff are very passionate too

Free entry, great play areas for little ones. Cafe is a little expensive so take your own lunch to eat outside.
