Annual auction of best wine to fund the maintenance of this beautiful monument which is a part of heart of Beaune. The guided visite is excellent and rewarding. The visit is cheap. I recommend

Le palais des "pôvres" est à découvrir! Les toits multicolores, la cuisine (robinets cols de cygne) et les pots exposés dans la pharmacie sont à couper le souffle.

The souvenir shop is excellent. They have books that explain the wine making history in Burgundy. They also have Premier Cru wines for sale at very reasonable prices. Some are very highly renowned.
