A Riverside branch of the restaurant which opened in 1969, closed in October 2017, while branches in Fallbrook (1997-2008) and San Dimas have closed as well.

Apparently Cask ‘n Cleaver were one of the earliest restaurants in the area to adopt a Salad Bar, and it is still on the menu today.

The interior full of rich burgundy leather booths, 1970s Colonial-style chairs, brick work, wood ceilings & walls, but most interestingly, rustic log support beams found throughout the restaurant.

When this property was built, it was the only building amongst ranches and vineyards, but the neighborhood has grown into a suburban outpost.

Constructed of brick, wood & river rock, roofline is cantilevered & supported by full logs as beams. The windows are crisscrossed w/ lattice. Pond w/ waterfall in the back creates a retreat-like feel.

Opened 1967 by Chuck & Linda Keagle. This steakhouse took over a 1930s orchard house, built by Konstany Stys, folk architect. Stys built 15 houses in Russian Village District during Great Depression.

Steak was great but all the other food was terrible. Mushroom appetizer was undercooked and the fries I had were obviously out of a bag and never hit a deep fryer. Not a drip of grease on them.
