Given a room at the far end of the hotel in part of the building smells moldy and no AC available in that part of hotel or room.Reception saw me carrying many items and still directed me to the stairs

Went for lunch. Menu was very basic and if you did not want a sandwich you had nothing to choose from. Sandwiches were lovely nevertheless

The free WiFi is crap. You put your key in a slip in the wall to run the lights, which of course means it's very easy to leave the key behind. Service at dinner was ok, but crap at breakfast.

Surprisingly good stay. Comfy beds. Fantastic breakfast ( don't miss Stornoway black pudding) and good autumn special rate. Just off M6 and great view.
