Beautiful spreading Banyan ( ficus ) tree. Lot of potential aerial hazards from pigeons et al. Local craft sellers.

Get pictures with the tree and go to Pioneer Inn next door for breakfast/lunch.

Super cool looking trees that connect with one another yet they have signs that say don't climb even though every kid in the world would want to climb on these trees

during the holidays, they light up the tree - so make sure to visit both during the day as well as at night for good photos

Be sure to check out the US's largest Banyan tree. The aerial roots eventually reach the ground and form a new trunk

Back in Kahuku, the banyan tree was a spooky place to visit! Old stories told by our "apo;s" and villagers made us all afraid to go near da ting! =)
